Boat registrations now open!
Boat registrations for the 2027 South Australian Wooden Boat Festival are now open, with wooden boat owners, skippers and crews invited to secure their place ahead of the Festival's return to the Goolwa Wharf Precinct on 24-25 April 2027.
With limited mooring spaces available at Goolwa Wharf, participants are encouraged to register early. An early bird registration period will run until Sunday 28 February 2027, with registrations closing on Sunday 11 April 2027.
Introducing the Boaties' Portal
Boat registrations are completed through the Festival's dedicated Boaties' Portal, an online space designed specifically for participating boat owners, skippers, crew and passengers.
The portal provides a simple registration process along with key dates, Festival updates and information to help boaties prepare for the weekend. You can also watch the fleet grow as boats register.

The Boaties' Portal is supported by Aspen Group, the 2027 Festival's official Boaties' Partner and Festival First Mate.
Aspen Group's partnership is focused on helping the Festival deliver a great experience for participating boat owners, skippers and crews, including supporting the Boaties' Portal and keeping participants informed and connected in the lead-up to the Festival.
The partnership builds on Aspen Group's long-standing connection with the Festival. As the team behind Coorong Quays, Aspen Group hosted the 2023 South Australian Wooden Boat Festival on Hindmarsh Island, providing a wonderful setting for one of the Festival's most memorable events. We are delighted to continue that association as we prepare to welcome the fleet back to Goolwa in 2027.

From paddle steamers and river cruisers to sailing boats and fishing vessels, the Festival fleet is at the heart of what makes the South Australian Wooden Boat Festival so special.
We look forward to welcoming returning favourites and first-time participants alike when the fleet gathers once again on the banks of the Murray.
